Placement & Training Centre

The B.M.S College of Engineering Training and placement cell is the nodal centre and an integral part of the institution. Started during 1995, it has scaled great heights and touched about 17500+ cumulative offers since its inception. The centre has very active linkages and collaborations with industry. The centre helps students in pursuing their career interests and also assists the employers in achieving their hiring goals. The vital roles of the centre is to groom and shape the students and make them industry ready by imparting necessary skills and training. More than 350 reputed National and Multinational companies visit our institution for campus recruitment annually. The centre provides value added services like personal interview, analytical, quantitative, reasoning, mock tests, team spirits and enterprise dynamics as part of their preplacement training. It also facilitates a web portal service to students to take up simulated online tests. The centre offers complete state-of-the-art physical, communication and computing infrastructure for its effective functioning and best arrangement necessary to facilitate the officials and companies visiting for placements. Our highly skilled and dedicated staff will deliver precisely planned services to the student community and companies. The centre also conducts various training sessions/workshops for students by eminent trainers from the industry to enhance their skills.

Library Facilities

The college has a voluminous computerized library spanning 45200 sq ft, it has a seating capacity of 680 users at a time. The Library is home to an extensive collection of books, with 156471 volumes and 48402 titles, and a member to VTU Consortium with Eight Resources that has access to over 21883 e-journals and 6904 e-books in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management. In addition, there are 145 national and international printed journals.
The digital repository includes TechFocuz, NPTEL lectures from all IITs, and IISc which are made available throughout the campus via Intranet. Additionally, faculty and students can access previous year question papers and Contains CD-Rom of Books and Journals.

The library has access to e-resources of NDL (National Digital Library), N-list which is a part of e-shodhsindhu consortium of INFLIBNET. The users can access, browse and download e-books, e-journals, databases etc. The Library resources are fully barcoded and automated using Web Centric Libsys 10 Software on Cloud https://bmscelib.libsys10.in/loginPage.jsp an integrated library package that assists users with transactions, OPAC (Online Public Access of Catalogues), and book reservations, and other things. All books have been classified and cataloged using DDC and AACR2 and are organized on open shelves. Every year Orientation Program is been organized for the newly admitted students to familiarize them regarding library facilities, resources and services.

The Library holds about 3776 rare books consisting of Biographies, Geographical Guides, Maps, Atlas, Dictionaries, Handbooks and books related to facts and places, along with around 25 titles have also been authored by our faculty. These books are extensively used and printed and published long back.

Facilities like Reading Room, Television Room, Internet Accessibility, Gymnasium, Parking space for student vehicles are provided. The Hostel Mess is equipped with latest in-culinary amenities and the spacious dining hall. Separate Hostels are provided for Boys, Girls and International students.

Other major infrastructure facilities available

The campus is spread over land 11.00 acres and 30 guntas. The built-up area is 98545.07 Sq.Mts. BMSCE has 137 well equipped laboratories catering to the needs of UG and PG students and research scholars. BMSCE has 116 class rooms equipped with ubiquitous ICT facility. Specialized laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment’s are established. Several laboratories funded by Industries have been established. E-studio with state-of-the-art hardware and software for video and audio recording and editing has been established. The Data Centres monitors the Campus-wide networking facility. The existing bandwidth of intranet is 10 GBPS. Currently CWN is supplemented with 2.9 GBPS leased line. 24/7 Internet facility at college and hostels, 11 High end blade servers (16 TB Storage), 3150 computers on network and 485 printers, 08 licenced system and 95 application software. Centre of Excellence/Incubation/Propel Labs, workshops, Language laboratory, office of Controller of Examinations (COE), Placement & Training Centre, International Co-operation Division (ICD), rain water harvesting, solar energy form some of the other physical infrastructure facilities.

Faculty rooms, conference halls, auditoriums, separate hostel for men and women, on-campus health centre, Student counsellor Cell, NSS Room are established. Administrative block houses the office of Principal, Vice-Principals, Deans, IQAC office, reception, girls common room and administrative sections. The institution has necessary facilities for sports, game (Indoor/Outdoor), yoga center, Multi-Gym etc. Vehicle parking facility, Barrier free environment, notice boards, potable water facility, fire and safety provisions, sewage disposal system, telephone facility, Cafeteria are available. Back Up Power of 2015 KVA is met through DG Set. The Back Up power supply is through UPS (725 KVA). The DG Set and UPC is maintained through AMC.
BMS College of Engineering has made a name for itself in several sports. BMSCE is standing in Top 1 in 3 position from past 5 years in Sports among 208 Engineering under the University (VTU). BMSCE has the following Indoor and Outdoor facilities.
