Placement & Training Centre

The Training & Placement (T&P) Cell of BMS School of Architecture is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liaisons between Industry and the Institute. The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide world class training to BMS School of Architecture students. The Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and help the student community towards their placement and industrial training. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and portfolio making techniques. Additionally, the Cell also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions besides catering to other logistics.

Library facilities

The primary objective of the library is to support the educational and research programs of the institute and to provide all the information available in the academic to meet the needs of the students, teachers and research scholars by using advanced technology and to create a welcoming and comfortable physical environment.
Secondly to foster an atmosphere that encourages diversity, excellence and continued growth in finding ways to surpass our own high standards.

E-Library and Digital Repository: The institute offers access to an e-library and digital repository, providing students with e-resources, lecture videos, architectural movies, research materials, and publications. This facilitates self-directed learning and research endeavors. Open Educational Resources and Online Platforms: BMSSA provides access to open educational resources such as NPTEL, YouTube videos, TED talks, and e-journals through platforms like VTU E-Consortium. Faculty members utilize webinars and e-learning resources for effective teaching and knowledge enhancement.

Photocopying/Xerox facility is available for the users of the library with a reasonable charge. Anti-plagiarism Software called Drillbit has been made available to check authenticity of publications and students Thesis reports. BMSSA library has associated with Indian Institute of Human Settlement (IIHS) & INTACH, Delhi.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility for Boys in the campus and for Girls near to the campus (with in 2km radius) available. Dedicated hostels for Architecture students with required drawing tables and studio room are provided to the hostel students.

Sports and Cultural Activities:

BMSSA has dedicated space for outdoor and indoor sport events like badminton, volley ball, Throw ball, Basketball, Handball, Kho Kho, Kabbadi, and Cricket etc. The Institution has adequate facilities for conducting indoor sports like Chess, Carrom, Table-Tennis etc. The institution has gymnasium facilities with modern equipment’s such as Multi Gym, Hyper extension bench, twister etc. to encourage physical fitness among the students and faculties. Amphitheatre accommodates the panel discussions, indoor games like badminton, in conduction cultural activities etc. A fully functional first aid and sick room is available in the campus.

BMSSA students showcased their talent in sports, with victories in inter-college tournaments like KRIRA and VTU competitions and many other Inter college competitions. The cultural front saw triumphs in events like Utsav-Envissage’22 & other VTU Inter Cultural Fests where in our students have won many prizes. NSS unit at BMSSA is active throughout the year organizes various programmes such as blood donation camp, Technical talk, medical check-ups, campus cleaning programmes, village cleaning initiatives programmes etc.

Skill Lab facilities:

BMSSA’s commitment to future readiness is evident through its strategic planning process and meticulous annual budgeting. The institution ensures optimal space utilization and aligns its infrastructure with the standards set by VTU/COA.Additionally, our institution is equipped with cutting-edge AR-VR technology, laser cutting machines, and an array of 3D printers. Furthermore, we provide access to pottery wheels, carpentry equipment, and other essential tools, fostering hands-on learning experiences across various disciplines. This forward-looking approach ensures that students have access to cutting-edge resources and facilities essential for their academic and professional development.

The campus boasts spacious classrooms, studios, laboratories, workshops, libraries, faculty rooms, auditoriums, and administrative blocks, ensuring that every aspect of students’ educational needs is catered to. The well-furnished facilities create an ambiance conducive to learning and collaboration.
BMSSA is equipped with modern teaching aids such as computer labs, model making workshops, materials labs, and more. Studios and lecture halls are equipped with LCD projectors and screens, facilitating interactive teaching methods. Additionally, the campus has a robust ICT infrastructure with Wi-Fi connectivity, computers, printers, and plotters for student’s use.
